We tried to have children for 15 years.

They were together for 25 years. For 15 of those years, they tried to have children.

Shawn talks about something that often sits underneath infertility and pregnancy-loss grief too: the expectation that women are supposed to become mothers โ€” and the pressure that can come from family and society.

Steve speaks directly to one of griefโ€™s most painful questions: whether you should have done something differently. His message to Deb is that she did everything the way it was meant to be and that her son remains connected to her.

If you need this kind of support today, comment WATCH and Iโ€™ll send you the full healing session.

Patricia thought she had miscarried.

But the pain continued.

When a gynecologist finally examined her, he immediately called the hospital. Within an hour, she was on the operating table for an ectopic pregnancy that was on the verge of rupturing.

During surgery, she remembers hearing:

โ€œSheโ€™s bleeding out. Weโ€™re losing her.โ€

What followed is something Patricia describes as a near-death experience โ€” being pulled away from the room into a place of love, peace and light.

This is Patriciaโ€™s personal account of what she experienced during a medical emergency.

You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone in pregnancy-loss grief.

Dodie describes the loss as a big void.

A room crowded with people โ€” but nobody talking. Nobody sharing the emotion. Nobody really getting it.

She knew, in her own way, that the baby she lost was a little boy. And yet the grief around him seemed to exist in silence.

That kind of loneliness can be brutal because you are not only grieving the baby. You may also be grieving without witnesses.

This is one reason I keep bringing these stories forward: sometimes hearing another person finally say it out loud helps your own grief feel less invisible.

Comment WATCH and Iโ€™ll send you the full pregnancy-loss series.

Courtney grew up knowing she was wanted.

She did not know how much loss came before her.

Courtney says that before she was born, her mother experienced 27 miscarriages and one full-term stillbirth โ€” 28 pregnancy losses in total.

Her parents kept trying.

Then Courtney was born in 1953.

Thirteen months later, her brother was born.

This is Courtneyโ€™s account of her family history, and the numbers are presented as her motherโ€™s story as it was shared with her.

What if healing after pregnancy loss started with learning a different way to listen to yourself?

In this clip I introduce Nonviolent Communication, a process created by Marshall Rosenberg. I originally shared it because I saw something valuable in the way it helps us slow down, notice what is happening inside us, and put language to what we are experiencing.

Pregnancy loss can leave so much happening internally that other people never see. Sometimes having a structure for understanding what you feel and need can give you somewhere to begin.

This isn't about forcing yourself to feel better. It's about becoming more connected to what is actually happening inside you.

If you want the full pregnancy-loss series, comment WATCH and I'll send it to you privately.

Sharing stories keeps memories alive and helps others understand the depth of love involved.

For too long pregnancy loss has remained a quiet topic.
More conversations are beginning to happen now, and they matter deeply.

One of the things Iโ€™ve seen over and over againโ€ฆ
is that people donโ€™t know where to find support after pregnancy loss.
But it does exist.
There are healers. There are real conversations. There are ways to process whatโ€™s been experienced.
This is why I created The Unforgotten Ones โ€” to bring all of this into one place so no one has to search alone ๐Ÿค
