We're excited to share that Mayo Clinic Laboratories is now offering 14-3-3eta serum testing for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in the United States. The test (Test ID: 1433E) is now available through Mayo Clinic Laboratories' diagnostic testing portfolio.

14-3-3eta is a joint-derived proinflammatory protein that complements established serological markers for RA, including rheumatoid factor (RF) and anti-CCP antibodies, and has shown value in earlier identification of RA and its association with disease severity and joint damage.

Mayo Clinic Laboratories, one of the most trusted names in laboratory medicine, joins the growing network of leading U.S. reference laboratories, offering 14-3-3eta testing, including Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, ARUP Laboratories and Sonic Healthcare USA.

Augurex is proud to share that three abstracts have been accepted for presentation at the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) 2026 Conference in Anaheim, California.

The accepted research highlights the growing clinical utility of both 14-3-3eta autoantibodies and the 14-3-3eta protein in addressing critical diagnostic challenges across autoimmune diseases, including axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

We’re very happy to share that our abstract, “Anti-14-3-3eta Autoantibodies: A Novel Diagnostic Biomarker that Discriminates Axial Spondyloarthritis from Mechanical Back Pain,” has received the Immunology Abstract Award for the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine 2026 Conference.

Authored by Dr. Anthony Marotta, PhD, in collaboration with global key opinion leaders, the award-winning research was selected from approximately 800 submissions and has also earned the additional distinction of being selected for presentation during an Immunology & Infectious Disease (IID) Division ePoster Discussion, a highlighted session for top-rated abstracts.

The recognition highlights the potential of SPINEstat® to help reliably distinguish axial spondyloarthritis from mechanical back pain. Dr. Marotta will accept the award on July 27 at the IID Division Awards Reception and present the findings on July 29 from 12:30 - 1:30pm. Augurex will also showcase SPINEstat® at the ADLM Clinical Lab Expo, July 28–30, as a finalist for the ADLM Disruptive Technology Award.

Augurex has been named a finalist in the ADLM 2026 Disruptive Technology Award competition for SPINEstat® (Anti-14-3-3eta Multiplex).

Presented by the (Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine), this highly competitive award program recognizes technologies with the potential to advance laboratory medicine and improve patient care. Advancing from semi-finalist to finalist reflects the scientific merit, clinical relevance, and transformative impact of SPINEstat®, a first-in-class biomarker-based diagnostic test designed to support earlier identification of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and differentiate inflammatory disease from mechanical back pain.

As a finalist, Augurex will present at ADLM 2026 on July 27 in Anaheim, CA, where the winner will be announced, and will showcase SPINEstat® at the ADLM Clinical Lab Expo July 28-30.
