Really excited to be starting this new group at Little Words Studio ✨🧡🪩🍁

This studio does so much good work to support and bolster parents, children, and inspire creativity, language and celebration of it all.
Thanks Nicole for all the work you do to serve communities.

Come as you are, with your baby or little one. We’ll sing together, breathe, connect, and finish with time for a cup of tea or coffee, a snack and conversation.
Singing together can support mood, nervous-system regulation and social connection. Sometimes simply being in a room with other mums who understand this season of life can be just as important.

• Dates: Tuesdays, October 6 - December 15
• Time: 3:30 - 5:00 pm
• 11-week series: $220 ($20 per session)
• Drop-in: $25, pending availability
• Includes: Tea or coffee and a snack
No singing experience needed. Babies and little ones are welcome and so is your voice, exactly as it is.

Did you know just how cool the SFSS Women's Centre is ?
They are a resource for pretty much everything…. Literature, games, events, support sessions, calm spaces to chill, community, information, free menstruation supplies, safe s*x supplies, clubs, and so much more.
And so few people seem to know!!
They also the host these free yoga sessions each week that I have the great privilege to guide.
We begin Wednesday 6th Oct 12.30pm . There is no registration required. You can literally just turn up. The centre provides the mats. Wear something comfy and a maybe a layer or two as the space is air conditioned.
It is open to the Sfu community including students, staff, alumni etc!!
And it’s during your lunch hour.
(It’s best to eat after the session).
If you have any questions please get in touch.

Hello — and if you’re new here, welcome.

I thought I’d share a little about me, what I do, what I love, and perhaps most importantly, why I do it.

I’m a yoga teacher, singer and community singing facilitator, and much of my work lives at the meeting point of movement, music, meditation, creativity and community.

Yoga helps me find stability in a world where there is constant change. It offers me a way back to myself. Singing has always felt like medicine to me. Research now shows the benefits on health, for brain, lungs, mental health and social connection.
Becoming a mum showed me just how important community and connection can be ,and how isolating life can sometimes feel without them.

So much of what I do now is about creating spaces where people of all ages can come home to themselves and each other.

Spaces to move and breathe.
To sing and be heard.
To belong.
To rediscover joy.
To challenge old stories like “I can’t sing” or “I’m old.” “I don’t have time for meditation “

More recently, I’ve discovered the language of creative health and the healing arts and suddenly so many of the threads of my life and work seem to make sense together.

I believe singing is medicine.
Movement is medicine.
Meditation is medicine.
Community is medicine.

Science is giving us new language for understanding why these things matter.

But perhaps our bodies have known all along. ❤️

So, hello. I’m glad you’re here. Follow along for my updates on classes and workshops, trainings and other events.

I’m jumping on this trend because… actually, it’s so real. 😂
And honestly? I think it’s kinda chic to safeguard your health and, in turn, the wellbeing of your whole family by doing something incredibly normal.

Something humans have always done.

Singing together.

Because group singing is really, really good for you; especially when you’re sleep deprived, your hormones are all over the place, and you can no longer string a coherent sentence together. 😵‍💫

You come to our group.
You have a cup of tea.
You sit in a circle with other mums and babies.
And you sing.

That’s it.

And somehow… you leave feeling a little more like yourself.

Your stress levels come down. Your nervous system gets a chance to breathe. You feel held by the community around you.

It’s a lullaby for your soul.

And your baby gets all the good stuff too; your voice, your presence, connection, rhythm, and the feeling of being surrounded by other humans.

Plus, you make friends. You build relationships. You realise you’re not the only one figuring this whole motherhood thing out.

Singing Mamas.
A cup of tea. A circle of mums and babies. And a whole lot of singing.

We have groups in various locations across the Lower Mainland.

Curious? Come and find your people. 🎶🤍

🌕 HARVEST FULL MOON · AN EVENING OF DEEP REST
A quiet evening to step away from the noise, soften into stillness, and return to yourself.

Rooted in the ancient wisdom tradition of Yoga Nidra, this is an invitation into profound rest; a space between waking and sleeping where the body and mind can tap into deep awareness.

In this liminal space, we are given the opportunity to pause from the constant doing, restore our energy.

Through Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, sound & voice activation, a gentle release ritual and intention, we’ll create space to listen inward and reconnect with our own inner knowing.

We’ll close with herbal tea and homemade vegan nourishment. 🤍

No experience required.
Come exactly as you are.

Held with care by trauma-informed facilitator .

Limited spaces · Doors close on time

Bring your mat, blanket, cushion & journal.

A little mantra song from me to you. 🤍
Repeat after me:
My voice is worthy.
I’ll sing my song.

May we remember that our voices don’t need to be perfect to be worthy of being heard. They are ours. They carry our stories, our truth, our joy, our becoming.

Come home to your voice. 🎶
