Before Suna was a product, it was a question: what do you do with something once it’s broken?

We went to Tokyo Japan, and sat with a Kintsugi artist who has spent decades repairing ceramics with gold. We watched a bowl come apart, then watched it come back - not disguised, not hidden. The break was still visible. It was the most beautiful part of the piece.

That’s the second idea Suna is built on. Not flawless. Repaired, in the open, on purpose.

It’s not the loudest flavor on the menu - bergamot doesn’t announce itself the way matcha does. But it’s the one that keeps a second order coming, week after week, once people actually try it.

We have some pretty exciting news. 🍵

Suna has been named a finalist for the 2026 Rise Awards by BC Food & Beverage in the Emerging Business category.

It means a lot to see Suna recognized alongside some incredible BC food and beverage brands especially at this stage of our journey.

And there’s one more part to it:

The winner will be decided by public vote.

Voting opens September 14, and when it does, we’d love to have our Suna community behind us.

For now, we’re just taking this one in.
