Another one of our clinic’s chiropractors, Dr. Enrique Domingo, recently spent nearly two weeks exploring Japan with his family. From unforgettable cultural experiences to incredible traditional cuisine, it was a trip filled with lasting memories.

Their journey took them through Tokyo (including DisneySea), Yudanaka near Nagano (home to the famous Snow Monkey Park and relaxing onsen pilgrimage), Osaka (where they watched the Tigers take on the Buffaloes and visited Universal Studios Japan), Kyoto, and Okinawa—often referred to as Japan’s Hawaii.

A wonderful adventure filled with family time, sightseeing, and amazing food!

When tissue feels stuck or overloaded, decompression can help.

Cupping uses gentle negative pressure to lift and separate restricted layers of fascia, allowing circulation and movement to return to the area. This is often helpful after physical activity or during periods when tension has been building over time.

We use cupping selectively, based on how the tissue responds, and often combine it with other forms of care to support recovery.

It is one of several tools we use when stiffness or soreness lingers.

One of our clinic’s chiropractors, Dr. Gruber, recently travelled to Switzerland — a trip that meant far more than simply visiting home. 🇨🇭

The main reason for the visit was to celebrate her grandmother’s 95th birthday and to meet her 11-month-old twin nephews for the very first time.

For Dr. Gruber, travel is about connection, perspective, and creating meaningful memories with the people you love most.

As a healthcare provider, she believes experiences, movement, and time away can be restorative in ways that extend far beyond physical health. Sometimes the best reset is stepping outside of your normal routine and returning with a fuller cup.

If your head, jaw, or upper neck feels tense by mid afternoon, your eyes are often part of the reason.

Sustained screen focus keeps the visual system working without a break. That effort carries into the muscles around the neck and jaw, especially as the day goes on.

One simple way to interrupt that buildup is to change where you are looking. Every twenty minutes or so, shift your focus to something farther away for about twenty seconds. It gives the system a chance to ease off.

Small visual breaks can make a noticeable difference in how tension accumulates across the day.

If headaches tend to show up at the end of a screen-heavy day, posture is often part of the picture.

Spending hours with the head positioned forward increases the load on the neck and upper back. As those muscles fatigue, tension builds at the base of the skull where many headache patterns start. Add sustained visual focus, and the system has very little chance to reset.

Care that restores joint movement and reduces soft tissue strain can help interrupt this cycle, especially when posture habits are addressed along the way.

More treatment does not automatically mean better care.

The goal is not to keep people coming in indefinitely. It is to help them understand their body, restore movement, and build enough resilience that they rely on care less over time.

Good care should make you stronger between visits, not dependent on them. When the body moves well and is supported properly, appointments tend to space out naturally.

We are here when you need us. The work is helping you need us less.

Shockwave therapy can sound intimidating, but the goal is simple.

It delivers targeted sound waves to irritated tissue to stimulate healing and improve circulation in areas that have become stubborn or slow to recover. We often use it for chronic tendon issues where rest alone has not been enough.

Conditions like plantar fasciitis or tennis elbow tend to respond well when the tissue is encouraged to remodel rather than stay inflamed.

It is one of the tools we choose when progress has stalled and the body needs a different kind of input.
