Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society

Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society TWC’s mission is to educate and support individuals who struggle with the challenges of addiction. Thank you for your generous support.

Together We Can Addiction Recovery & Education Society was founded in 1993 and since then has become one of Canada’s leading treatment centres for men. Located in Metro Vancouver, TWC’s mission is to educate and support men and families who struggle with the challenges of substance misuse, and desire a new life in recovery. TWC provides over 200 men with abstinence-based recovery programs and supp

ortive housing opportunities in a therapeutic residential setting. Our addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, and aftercare initiatives provide residents with an integrated approach to rehabilitation. Together We Can understands that long-term recovery is most successful when people are provided health and wellness supports for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing. TWC is a licensed healthcare service provider through Vancouver Coastal Health, and is well established as a reputable destination where men can truly begin to create change in their lives and rebuild their family relationships. As a registered charity, we are dedicated to building positive community relationships with Families, Donors, Partners, and Government. Together, we can continue to make a difference in our community.

Together We Can! Congrats to TWC alumnus James on 2 years! Two years of choosing change, showing up, and never giving up. James’ story is proof that you don’t have to do it alone. 🙏

From James: “My message for recovery and for life is quite simple, never give up. I’ve only ever been willing to succeed when I stopped being afraid to fail. I’ve learned, through every up and down, that I have the uncompromising ability to get back up no matter what happens. You don’t have to lose everything to surrender, you just have to want change.

Today, I could not be more grateful. I have a strong relationship with my family, I have a life full of love and laughter and connection, and I have an overwhelming amount of support. There are so many people who have lifted me up over and over and helped me through every challenge. No one does this alone, anyone can do this together.”

Two years is a big deal, James. We’re proud of you and grateful to celebrate this milestone with you!

✨ 3 YEARS OF SOBRIETY! ✨

“I’ve honestly grown more in the past 3 years than I have in the previous 25 years. The 12 steps and the fellowship allowed me to figure out who I am and accept who I am. However I have to continue to live a spiritual way of life and be an active member of my group in order to continue to grow. I am forever grateful for my higher power and all the people who have helped me along this journey. 🙏🏼” -Pete

🎉 Help us celebrate TWC alumnus Pete on 3 incredible years of continued sobriety! 🙌🏼

We’re so proud of you and grateful to celebrate this milestone with you! Here’s to the next chapter and many more years of growth, gratitude, and living life to the fullest! 🎊✨

"After having 2.5 years clean I let addiction get ahold of me again and destroy the life I built leaving me hopeless, defeated and not wanting to live all over again. A year ago I decided to call Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society to seek help and forever will be grateful for the path they laid out for me and the friends that supported and helped me along the way and the new friendships that came into my recovery life.

This year hasn’t been easy and the past month has been about forgiveness, reflection, grief, healing, being on my own and working on myself with god to become the best version of myself and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. We do recover." -Chelsea

Congratulations, Chelsea, on your 1 year of continued sobriety and on embracing this new chapter of healing and growth! 🥳 We are incredibly proud to be part of your journey and wish you continued strength, hope, and success in your recovery.

We can't wait to see all that the future holds for you as you continue to inspire others through your strength and commitment to recovery.

"August 5th, I celebrated one year of sobriety. This past year has taught me that recovery isn’t about being perfect—it’s about choosing to keep moving forward, one day at a time. I’m grateful to everyone who has walked alongside me, believed in me, and reminded me that change is possible.

Today, I’m honoured to give back at Together We Can by supporting others on their own recovery journey. If my story can give even one person hope, then every step has been worth it. One day at a time." – Michael

"Two years ago, I made the decision to change my life. It hasn't always been easy. There have been hard days and moments when I had to remind myself why I started. But I kept going.

Today, I'm proud of the person I am becoming—not because I'm perfect, but because I'm still here. Still growing. Still healing. Still choosing a better life every day. To my family, thank you for believing in me and standing beside me. My children are my greatest motivation, and I hope they always know that no matter how far you fall, you can get back up. Change is possible. Healing is possible.

To everyone who supported me—especially those who helped me when I couldn't help myself—thank you. Your guidance, encouragement, and belief in me have meant more than words can say.

I'm proud to be Nisga'a, and I carry my culture, my ancestors, my family, and my community with me every step of the way. This journey is bigger than me—it's for my family and for the generations that come after me. Two years is an incredible milestone, but it's only the beginning. Today I celebrate life, healing, and the man I continue to become. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey. I love you all. ❤️" -Jordan

Congratulations, Jordan, on two years of healing, growth, and transformation! Your courage and commitment to creating a better future are inspiring. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with you and can't wait to see where your journey leads next.
