Hopehill is more than affordable housing for seniors. It is a place of belonging, where people are known, valued, and supported by friendship, understanding, and grace.

Meet Jacques. When Jacques first decided to visit the campus four years ago, he discovered a community that immediately felt like home. Jacques shares, “I discovered that this place is a place of restoration, of healing, and of course, being you.”

Not long after moving in, Jacques met Serge, a longtime member of our facilities team. They both speak French, so an easy connection formed. Serge helped Jacques meet neighbours and find his footing during hardship.

“He would be there to encourage me,” Jacques says. “Just to say, ‘keep on keeping on.’ Those were my anchor points. And over time, we grew into a great friendship.”

These quiet, faithful moments—listening, encouragement, compassion—are what make Hopehill a true community.
