On this third anniversary, we honour the lives lost, stand with all who have been impacted, and hold close the shared hope for peace, healing, and understanding.

Counsellors from Coastal Health's Older Adults Mental Health and Substance Use program will discuss the effects of substance abuse later in life and how to recognize hidden signs. You will learn vital programs and support systems available right here at JFS.

Addiction looks different at every stage of life. Often, the signs of substance abuse in older adults are overlooked or mistaken for other health changes.

To shed light on this important topic, JACS is partnering with the Jewish Seniors Alliance for a special presentation on Addiction in Older Adults.

Counsellors from Coastal Health's Older Adults Mental Health and Substance Use program will discuss the effects of substance abuse later in life and how to recognize hidden signs, while JFS staff, including Alan Stamp and Tamar Stein, will share the vital programs and support systems available at JFS.
