If you’ve been curious about iron infusions but aren’t sure what to expect, here’s how it all happens at Bay Wellness.

It starts with bloodwork.
Ferritin, CBC, and iron markers need to be completed within the last three months before any infusion is administered. This keeps treatment safe and grounded in your actual levels.

From there, the first infusion is 100 mg, administered slowly while monitored for tolerance. Subsequent infusions are 200 mg, dosed based on your levels and clinical picture. Most women complete 3-5 infusions over the course of a few weeks.

Four weeks after your final infusion, we repeat bloodwork to see where your levels have landed.

Iron infusions are often covered under extended health benefits, depending on your plan. We provide receipts for submission.
