Recovery is not time off.
It’s part of the preparation.

Ben explains it clearly: elite athletes need to perform under fatigue - but they also need to know when the goal is to be fresh.

More work is not always better. If recovery is in the plan, treat it with the same commitment as training.

Train hard! Rest hard!

Ross Gurney said it best from the agent perspective:

The player who makes it isn’t always the most talented — it’s the player with the best plan and the commitment to follow it.

Development starts with knowing your weaknesses, understanding your role, and training what you can control.

At the Bantam and Midget level, development has to be intentional.

The game gets faster.
The contact gets heavier.
The demands get higher.
And players need more than talent to keep progressing.

Hockey Strong Academy gives youth hockey athletes the structure, coaching, and performance training they need to build strength, speed, control, and confidence off the ice — so it shows up on the ice.

Most hockey players don’t need to “do more” this off-season.

They need a better plan. 🏒

We broke down what too many athletes miss in the summer: structure, sequencing, recovery, priorities, and an actual framework built around the athlete — not around what everyone else is doing.

Before you plan your off-season, watch the full panel for more insight through the link in our bio. 🔗

Most hockey players train hard all summer…
and don’t get the results they expect.

Why?

❌ No clear plan
❌ Poor sequencing (skates + lifts + recovery)
❌ No progression through the off-season

This is what we see every year.

We’re breaking it down LIVE.

With small groups and structured sessions, athletes get the coaching, repetition, and support they need to keep building.
