8 days to go and it's been so hard to tame the crazy. My thoughts have been up and down like a yo-yo and nothing about this run feels steady or consistent right now.

Rather than going in with the mindset that 'I might fail', im trying to cling to the idea of having a plan A, B, C, and D. So, regardless I will have achieved something. Will I be disappointed to not reach goal A, probably, but I wont know until I know. Still kind of feels like im preparing to 'fail'. Seeeee, its a yo-yo 😅 Regardless, it'll be an experience that can only add to my collection of great stories. I like that thought.

What an adventure this running business is. It never gets old though, and i'll always love it.

Some days its hard to trust the process, and those are the days to really make sure you're not giving up.

6 weeks to go and my predicted finish time is 2:03. I need to shave off 4 minutes, and while that doesn't seem like a lot, those 4 minutes are playing mind games. The self talk to stay the course, dont self sabotage, and keep going is loud, and some days not loud enough, but we're still here. We still working.

Keep going, don't let self doubt win.

12 weeks into training and what a ride.
Hitting the 15 km mark felt like a sigh of relief. Things feel manageable from here, and the body moved through it with ease. Hungry, always, but the body was happy to go.

This is just a reminder to anyone who needs to hear it, and myself when I reflect back, this s**t takes time. Chances are you're living the life of beautiful chaos where nothing is perfect, so practice some patience, dont give up, and keep smashing the daily and weekly goals one by one. It all adds up and then you feel the moment of ahhh, we're doing it, things are ok.

Laugh, cry, smile, celebrate, send it, and you'll get there. You're doing great, and you're awesome ❤️

This body has done so much for me and yet I still have days where its an uncomfortable place to be. Why? No good reason. Its not like its a new concept that my body changes shape through a month, yet some months, the thoughts that come up are harder to wrestle with. Once the stormy feelings pass (and the hormones level out), im grateful to know that I have the strength of mind to see that 'this too shall pass', but s**t, its hard to navigate some times.

If you've had these feelings and thoughts, or are going through them now, just know that you're beautiful, you're strong, you're resilient, your mind is being a mean bitch right now, and you're way more than the shape of your body. You're mental health is just as important as your physical health and sometimes we gotta take care of the brain and heart space first.

✨️Learn how to get good at rest and giving yourself grace, but dont stay in those spaces all the time.
✨️The things, people, places that push you to be better are what you want in your circle

I opened my yoga book today, the one that is filled with my work, my words, my flows, and the page that I flipped to was everything I needed 💖
I have mantras and quotes that I would read off to close each class with, and my words from the class on Feb 9, 2021 were:
Your work matters. Everyday that you show up. Even when it's hard and when you dont feel like it. You are making a difference. So, even on the hard days, even on the days when you'd like to stay back and not show up, remember, the world needs the magic inside of you. Your work matters. Your consistency matters. Your ideas matter. Your presence matters. You matter.

Sometimes we just need a bit of our own magic, I guess. 🥰

Yesterday I ran for the first time since the beginning of January, which made today's workout wildly hard. Absolutely can tell that my body is tired today, but its just a reminder that fuel, water, and recovery are also going to be the key factors to this adventure. My moto on repeat, "Buckle up".
