A really beautiful afternoon spent at ’s Mommy Expo Mom Toronto event 🩵

I had the opportunity to speak about something I care deeply about - the wellbeing of mothers.

We talked about the mental load moms carry, why so many women neglect themselves after having kids, the guilt that comes with taking time for yourself, and how easy it is to lose yourself in the overwhelm of motherhood - whether you’re newly postpartum or years into parenting.

These types of conversations, honesty, and connection always remind me why this work matters so much.

Also got to spend time with some amazing mom founders in the community like .app .moms and .co and make some new connections too ✨

So many of us go into birth with a plan. And when it doesn’t happen that way, we’re left carrying this weight - like we failed somehow.

But wanting to feel in control of your birth isn’t unreasonable. And grieving when it doesn’t go as planned isn’t ungrateful.

You can love your baby and still feel sad about how they arrived. Both can be true. 🩵

When I first started building Anamav, I wrote out a vision and mission.

Before the strategy or the business plan.
Just what I felt parents deserved.

I came back to it recently as I thought about our new direction, and I was surprised to find that I didn’t want to change a single word.

Because even as Anamav evolves - the end goal and purpose is still the same.

Parents deserve to feel seen.
They deserve real support.
They deserve to feel confident stepping into this new version of their life.

That’s what this has always been about, and still is. So reading it again and not changing a thing reassured me that we’re on the right path.

The holidays can make parents feel like they need to perform joy.

More magic. More energy. More patience. More everything.

But children don’t need perfection or more gifts - they need presence.

Even if you’re tired.
Even if the house is loud.
Even if today didn’t go how you imagined.

Your steadiness matters more than the wrapping paper.
Your warmth matters more than the schedule.
Your love is already enough.
