A little July recap! 🎶

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of welcoming local musician, Damian Radcliffe for an afternoon of wonderful entertainment. Residents enjoyed a great mix of music featuring Johnny Cash, The Beatles, and many other recognizable favourites that had everyone singing along and tapping their toes.

This post is a little late as I was away on holidays 🫣 but we still wanted to share and thank Damian for a fantastic performance. We always appreciate the talented local entertainers who help make our residents' days a little brighter! 🎵❤️

What a wonderful day at the parade! 🎉

Our residents had a fantastic time enjoying the floats, music, and the variety of different entries in the parade. It was wonderful to be able to take our accessible bus so residents could comfortably attend and enjoy this great community event. A big thank you to our bus driver for getting everyone there and back safely!

We'd also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible members of our team who helped create our parade float and spent the day walking the route, waving to the crowds, and handing out candy. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm helped make the day such a success.

Our first bus trip of the summer is officially in the books!

Residents enjoyed a delicious lunch before setting out on a relaxing country cruise. Along the way, we took in the beautiful scenery, admired local farm fields and livestock, and simply enjoyed spending time together on a gorgeous summer day.

A sincere thank you to the Sunrise Green Restaurant and the Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Course for your warm hospitality and for helping make our first summer outing such a wonderful experience. We look forward to many more adventures this summer!

The Broken Banjos had everyone tapping their toes with their lively performance. We enjoyed an afternoon of vibrant Ukrainian music presented as part of the Pysanka Festival. Their touring concert brought a piece of the festival right to our residents!

The beautiful sunshine gave many residents the chance to enjoy the music outdoors, while others chose the comfort of the indoors, safely out of reach of the determined mosquitoes. No matter where they listened from, the performances brought plenty of smiles! 🇺🇦❤️🎶

Today we celebrated with plenty of Canadian fun, including some friendly "Beerless" Pong competition, Canada Flag Bean Bag, and delicious Canadian favourites like Nanaimo bars, butter tarts, and ketchup chips!

We were delighted to welcome the Royal Purple Ladies for their annual Watermelon Day social! Residents enjoyed a refreshing afternoon of watermelon and wonderful company.

The Royal Purple Ladies have a long-standing tradition of supporting seniors and giving back to the community, and we are grateful for the joy they bring each year.
It was especially meaningful to celebrate with some of our own residents who are former Royal Purple members!

A heartfelt thank you to our residents who have helped get our garden growing this season. They've planted, watered, weeded, and donated supplies. Just by simply stopping by to lend a hand, their support has made a huge difference!
