You know what word comes to mind when I actually let myself rest?
Cheating.
Like I'm getting away with something I shouldn't be. Like someone is watching and quietly judging. Like the moment I stop, I become someone who doesn't deserve what she has.
On the rare occasions I can actually feel rest in my body, really feel it, it's extraordinary. But getting there is usually a battle. Mind racing, fears surfacing, an internal negotiation just to sit still without an agenda.
If that's familiar, I want you to know it isn't weakness. It's a pattern. One we already talked about this week, where it came from, why it stuck.
And the first step out of it isn't a meditation app or a productivity hack. It's just noticing. Naming it. Sitting with the discomfort instead of immediately filling it.
That's where it starts to shift.
(If you've been following along this week, you'll know exactly what I mean. And if you're ready to go deeper, there's a link in my bio.)
