My Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment uses the Cynosure Elite IQ to target unwanted pigment + vascular redness in the skin, helping improve:

Laser season is officially BACK 👏🏼✨

Summer gave us the sunshine… and sometimes a few little souvenirs we didn’t ask for. 👀 Brown spots, sun damage, redness and uneven tone — I’m looking at you.

Fall + winter are the perfect seasons to start laser treatments because we’re typically dealing with less sun exposure, making it easier to protect the skin before and after treatment.

So what are we actually treating?

Laser can target both BROWN + RED in the skin:

🤎 Brown = sun damage, freckles + unwanted pigmentation
❤️ Red = facial redness, broken capillaries + vascular concerns

And yes… sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. When we target brown pigment, those spots can temporarily become darker and look like tiny coffee grounds before gradually flaking away. Don’t pick them — let your skin do its thing.

For the best correction, I typically recommend a series of 2–4 treatments, depending on your skin, the amount of sun damage/redness and your individual goals.

The end goal?
✨ Less visible sun damage
✨ Reduced redness
✨ Brighter, clearer skin
✨ A more even complexion

✨ EXFOLIATION 101 — physical vs. chemical ✨

Exfoliation is one of the BEST things you can do for dull, congested or textured skin… but not all exfoliation is created equal.

So let’s break it down 👇🏼

PHYSICAL EXFOLIATION 🧽

Physical exfoliation manually removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

Think:
✨ Scrubs
✨ Exfoliating powders
✨ Dermaplaning
✨ Microdermabrasion

It can give you that immediate smooth, polished feeling — but more is NOT better. Over-scrubbing or using products that are too abrasive can disrupt your skin barrier and leave you irritated, dry and sensitive.

CHEMICAL EXFOLIATION 🧪

Okay… the word “acid” sounds a little scary. 😂

But skincare acids can actually be an AMAZING addition to your routine when you’re using the right one for your skin.

Instead of physically scrubbing away dead skin, acids help loosen the bonds between dead skin cells so they can shed more efficiently.

Some of the most common:

AHA’s — like glycolic & lactic acid
Great for ✨ dullness, uneven texture, pigmentation and fine lines.

BHA’s — like salicylic acid
Oil-soluble, meaning it can work inside the pore. Great for ✨ congestion, blackheads and acne-prone/oily skin.

PHA’s — a gentler option
Great for ✨ sensitive skin or anyone who needs a little less intensity.

And remember… stronger doesn’t always mean better.

The goal isn’t to exfoliate your face into oblivion. 😂 The goal is healthy, smooth, functioning skin.

The right exfoliant + the right frequency + a healthy skin barrier = ✨ GLOWING SKIN.

And yes… you can absolutely use the word acid in your skincare routine without being scared of it. 😉
