Today we hold space and light a candle for all of the little ones that have left us too soon.
Tonight at 6:30 PM at the BC legislature the Pacific Perinatal foundation will be holding a vigil for babies that we cherish and remember. Sending warmth and love to all of our families that have experienced their own journey of the devastations of loss. We hold these families and little ones in our hearts always.❤️‍🩹

Nothing like some fresh juice to rocket boost some (already energetic) apple pressers 🍎🧃🚀💕 (fun fact: a 15 week fetus is the size of an apple! 👶🏽🍏) #

Congrats to the UBC Midwifery Class of 2026 who graduated last weekend! A few of these amazing students did placements with our clinic over recent years, and many of you were cared for by them. Thank you to our clients for supporting student learning by involving students in your care, and wishing these fledgeling midwives all the best as they set out into clinical practice! 🎓🐣💕

Midwife Joy got to graduate this little brother from the Juniper this week from midwifery care! 👨🏾‍🎓💕 We love it when older siblings attend visits and get to be involved in the care experience! (clearly a very proud big brother here 🥰) All the best to this sweet family 💕

No this isn’t a snow-flake promo….this is amniotic fluid! ❄️💦 This beautiful pattern seen via microscope is called ferning, which is caused by crystallization of salts and proteins present in amniotic fluid as it dries on a microscope slide. Midwives and physicians assess for this when we suspect someone’s water broke.🔬🌺
