If your baby is “fussy,” gassy, or struggling to latch… it might not be what you think.
A lot of parents are told things like:
“they’ll grow out of it”
“it’s just colic”
“some babies are just spit-up babies”
“Breastfeeding is supposed to hurt”
But often, there’s an underlying cause we’re missing 👇
Oral restrictions (like tongue or lip ties), birth trauma, and delivery method can affect how your baby feeds, breathes, and regulates their system.
This can show up as:
• painful or shallow latch
• clicking while feeding
• frequent spit-up or reflux
• excessive gas or colic symptoms
• long or very frequent feeds
• unsettled, fussy behaviour
When baby can’t use their mouth properly, they compensate → taking in more air, working harder, and stressing their system.
That’s where osteopathic treatment comes in.
We gently assess and treat the tension patterns in the body, jaw, and neck that may be contributing to these feeding challenges.
Because sometimes it’s not just “a phase” — it’s something we can actually help.
Imagine getting support from day one vs struggling for weeks before getting help.
If this sounds like your baby, feel free to reach out or book an assessment. Early support can make a huge difference 🤍
