Brother John Elving

Brother John Elving I am a street minister working with the homeless and people with drug addictions. God bless you. My whole life I struggled with drug addictions.

By the grace of God, I am in my 6 years clean and sober. Now in my 5 years of full-time street ministry. I love the homeless and the addicted.

When I was a teenage runaway I got involved with streetlife, gangs, jail, and homelessness. I graduated from the Teen Challenge drug addictions center and flew to Mexico City. Two years later I graduated with a diploma in Ministry in Spanish. My ministry

is focused on the truth found in the Bible taught in all Christian Churches. I was dedicated and baptized in a Pentecostal church. My family has been a part of the Canadian Pentecostal church for three generations.

The good news of the Gospel is forgiveness of sin. The consequence of our sins is hell, a place of torment for eternity. The Father sent his only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. We accept the gift of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ.

There are great pastors in your community who want to help you. Contact them and get involved in a local church. We are all one family in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Very proud dad moment. ❤️

Yesterday my daughter graduated from high school, and I couldn't be more thankful. It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny baby holding onto my finger, and now she has graduated with top marks, earned a scholarship, and grown into a beautiful young woman with a bright future ahead of her.

As proud as I am of her academic achievements, my greatest joy is that both of my daughters love Jesus and are serving the Lord. There is nothing that brings me more happiness than seeing them walk with God and make wise choices for their lives.

Today I'm at the airport heading to Mexico City for a ministry trip. I'll be working with people struggling with addiction, visiting rehabilitation centres, participating in street outreach, and speaking in several churches that have invited me to share.

I'll also be distributing copies of my book THE STREET and continuing to build relationships with pastors and ministry leaders.

If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, facing a family crisis, or simply looking for encouragement and support, my website is a free resource available to anyone who needs help.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for my family and for this ministry. I am truly blessed beyond words.

My oldest daughter Natalie is graduating from high school today. It’s hard to believe.

I still remember when she was first born. She was so tiny, lying in an incubator, barely a foot long. I remember putting my finger in her little hand and she grabbed it with her whole hand.

Now she’s all grown up and graduating. The years really do go by fast. I’m a very proud dad today.

🐱 Last picture with Buddy the cat. ❤️

Buddy is staying with my mom and stepdad while I'm away in Mexico for the next few weeks. They love her dearly, and knowing she's safe, spoiled, and well cared for gives me a lot of peace of mind as I head out on this trip. 🏡

🎓 Today I have the privilege of attending my daughter's graduation, then it's up at 3:00 a.m. and off to the airport. ✈️

Over the next month, I'll be spending time with pastors and ministry friends throughout Mexico, visiting drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, participating in street outreach, helping provide food to those in need, and ministering in churches that have invited me to share. My heart has always been for people struggling with addiction, homelessness, and hopelessness, and I'm grateful for every opportunity to serve. ❤️

📸 I'll be sharing pictures, videos, livestreams, and ministry updates along the way.

🙏 Please pray for safety in travel, wisdom in ministry, and protection for the teams I'll be working alongside. Most of all, pray that lives would be changed, that people would encounter Jesus Christ, and that those trapped in addiction would find freedom, hope, and restoration.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged, and supported this outreach. Your friendship, generosity, and prayers make these trips possible.

The Spiritual Blindness of Bethel, Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton & the Collapse of Discernment

Tonight we are talking about the growing crisis surrounding Bethel Church, the New Apostolic Reformation, and the culture of false prophecy that has spread throughout large parts of modern charismatic Christianity.

For years, Bethel Church has platformed spiritually reckless teachings, celebrity false prophets, mystical experiences, failed prophecies, and bizarre unbiblical practices that have confused and damaged many sincere Christians. Even now, after publicly distancing themselves from several controversial figures, the deeper theological problems remain.

This movement has become biblically illiterate. Instead of producing reverence for Scripture, repentance, holiness, and sound doctrine, it often produces emotional hype, shallow theology, and endless obsession with supernatural experiences.

As a continuationist Christian who believes the gifts of the Spirit are still active today, I strongly reject the teachings and practices associated with Bethel Church, Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton, and the New Apostolic Reformation. My goal is not hatred toward individuals, but warning the church, defending biblical truth, and calling Christians back to Scripture and the real Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Week Two Back in the Gym

For me, this is week two back in the gym after being sick for 18 days. It has been encouraging to see how quickly the body can begin to recover when you simply take that first step and keep moving forward.

Maybe you’re not on week two. Maybe you’re on day one.

That’s okay.

Every journey starts somewhere. Every goal begins with a single step. Every healthy habit starts with one decision. The hardest part is often just getting started.

Last week I even lost a pound. I’m currently 194 pounds, with a goal of 185. That’s still 9 pounds away, but I have the rest of the year to get there. There is no rush. One day at a time. If I lose a pound a week, I’ll be grateful.

Sometimes we spend so much time looking at the mountain in front of us that we forget to take the next step. Whether your goal is losing weight, getting back into the gym, overcoming an addiction, rebuilding your finances, or growing spiritually, progress usually comes one day at a time.

Don’t worry so much about where you’ll be six months from now. Focus on today. Take the walk. Go to the gym. Make the healthy choice. Spend time in prayer. Then trust God for tomorrow.

Maybe you’re on week two. Maybe you’re on day one.

Either way, keep going. Small steps, taken consistently, can change your life. 💪🙏

This may honestly be one of the most stunningly biblically ignorant comments I’ve seen this year.

My post was about the prosperity gospel, twisting Scripture, and building ministries around promises of health, wealth, financial breakthrough, and celebrity Christianity.

The response?
“But they are generous tippers in restaurants.”

That right there sadly reveals how deeply shallow and confused much of modern prosperity theology has become.

Being a good tipper does not suddenly justify twisting Scripture, manipulating desperate people with “seed faith” offerings, or presenting luxury lifestyles as evidence of greater spirituality or God’s favor.

And what honestly saddens me the most is seeing this kind of response come from someone currently attending a word of faith Bible college. Just sad.

Not because I hate him. I don’t.

But because it shows how many people are being trained to completely miss the spirit and message of the New Testament while still believing they understand biblical Christianity.

Peter stood before a crippled man and said:
“Silver and gold have I none…”

The apostles preached Christ crucified, repentance, holiness, sacrifice, generosity, and eternal treasure.

They did not build ministries around private jets, luxury branding, endless fundraising, and promises of financial breakthrough.

There is nothing wrong with Christians having money.

The problem begins when wealth becomes spiritualized, marketed, and used as proof of faith, favor, or anointing.

That is where the prosperity gospel becomes incredibly dangerous and spiritually damaging to countless sincere believers around the world.

Testing the 20 Year “Triple Anointing” Prophecy taught at Rhema

Help Mia with a donation:
https://gofund.me/9b94087ff

The Bible commands Christians to test prophecy and teachings by Scripture.

Tonight’s livestream is not about hatred or attacking people personally. As a Rhema graduate myself, and someone who grew up around the Word of Faith movement, this conversation is deeply personal to me.

I do not preach or endorse the Word of Faith gospel. At the same time, I have tremendous love for many people inside the movement, including members of my own family, old friends, pastors, and sincere believers who genuinely love Jesus.

My goal is not to destroy people.
My goal is to lovingly test teachings by the Word of God and help people think biblically.

For nearly 20 years, Rhema and Craig Hagin have publicly promoted the idea that Craig possesses a “triple healing anointing.”

I also want to clearly say:
I am not personally claiming Kenneth Hagin Sr made these statements publicly himself. I am saying Craig Hagin publicly claims this was a prophecy given by Kenneth Hagin Sr, and Kenneth Hagin Jr publicly repeated and confirmed these claims on Rhema broadcasts.

These are direct public quotes:

“His papa, my dad Kenneth E. Hagin said that he had a triple anointing for healing. He said he had an anointing, I had an anointing, but Craig had a triple anointing in healing.”
— Kenneth Hagin Jr

“My grandfather said that the Lord told him that I have three times the healing anointing that he had.”
— Craig Hagin

“Don’t you want the most anointed person to pray for you?”
— Craig Hagin

Acts 3:12 says:
“Why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we had made him walk?”

After healing the lame man, Peter immediately redirected attention away from himself and toward Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:7 says:
“We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.”

1 Corinthians 12:11 says:
“All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.”

The New Testament teaches healing, prayer for the sick, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

I absolutely believe God still heals today.
I am a biblical continuationist.

But nowhere does Scripture teach:
• triple healing anointings
• celebrity-style spiritual rankings
• inherited miracle superiority
• or generational levels of supernatural status

My concern is not healing ministry itself.

My concern is exaggerated teachings, false prophecy claims, spiritual hype, prosperity culture, and unbiblical ideas surrounding “the anointing” that can slowly move people away from the simplicity and humility of Christ.

A ministry can have a huge platform, famous family name, television audience, and still promote teachings with little or no scriptural foundation.

That should concern believers.

Please continue praying for everyone involved including Craig, Mia, the children, and the entire family.

Craig Hagin Is Back Preaching Already?

Help Mia with a donation https://gofund.me/9b94087ff

Tonight I’ll be discussing the public controversy surrounding Craig Hagin, Rhema, the recent divorce announcement, the public allegations made online by Mia Hagin’s sister, and Craig’s recent return to preaching.

It is extremely important to clearly state that these allegations remain unproven, and Craig Hagin is innocent unless proven guilty.

At the same time, because Craig has been a major public ministry figure connected to Rhema and Kenneth Hagin Ministries for decades, many Christians are sincerely asking difficult questions as this situation continues unfolding publicly.

I’ll also be discussing:
• Craig publicly preaching again
• The “three times healing anointing” teaching
• Celebrity Christianity and lavish ministry culture
• Public accountability in ministry
• Restoration, repentance, and biblical leadership
• My own experience growing up around the Word of Faith movement as a Rhema graduate

This livestream is NOT about hatred, gossip, or celebrating someone’s downfall.

As Christians, we believe in grace, forgiveness, repentance, restoration, healing, and truth.

But when major public ministry leaders face serious public controversy and allegations, believers naturally have questions, especially when those leaders quickly return to public ministry.

My prayer is that the FULL truth comes to light, whatever that truth may be.

Please continue praying for Mia, the children, Craig himself, the extended family, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking situation.

Also for clarity:
I totally and absolutely reject the Word of Faith gospel.

I am a biblical continuationist. I believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active today while completely rejecting manipulation, celebrity culture, hype, and unbiblical teachings.

In Acts 3, Peter stood before a crippled man and declared:

“Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” — Acts 3:6

Sadly, in many prosperity-driven churches today, Peter himself would likely be mocked for having a “bad confession” or accused of preaching a poverty gospel. Some would even claim the reason he had no silver or gold was because he “spoke poverty” over his life.

But Peter was not alone.

Hebrews 10 speaks of believers joyfully accepting the loss of their possessions. The apostles suffered persecution, imprisonment, hunger, beatings, and hardship for the sake of Christ. Throughout church history, countless faithful Christians have lived in poverty while still carrying deep faith, holiness, generosity, and the power of God.

Even today, many genuine believers around the world struggle simply to afford food, shelter, or medicine. Yet many of them still preach Christ, care for the poor, pray for the sick, and remain faithful under enormous suffering.

That is real faith.

Meanwhile, modern Christianity often presents luxury, wealth, designer lifestyles, private jets, and massive offerings as evidence of God’s highest favor and spirituality.

The New Testament presents a very different picture.

The apostles did not preach greed, materialism, or financial obsession. They preached Christ crucified, repentance, sacrifice, holiness, generosity, and eternal treasure.

There is nothing wrong with God blessing people financially. Abraham, Job, and others were blessed by God. But the prosperity gospel crosses a dangerous line when wealth becomes a measurement of faith, spirituality, or God’s approval.

Jesus warned plainly:
“You cannot serve both God and mammon.”
