There is something powerful about a group of women who genuinely support one another.

I feel fortunate to be surrounded by talented, compassionate, and driven women who bring their gifts to our collective every day. Together, we’re building something meaningful, creating a space where both our clients and practitioners can thrive.

Here’s to collaboration, connection, and lifting one another up!

Thank you for capturing us

There’s a strange kind of grief that comes with becoming yourself.

You lose the mask.
The performance.
The version of you built entirely around surviving.

But in that freefall, something sacred happens.

You meet the person underneath the exhaustion.
The one who was never “too much.”
Just buried beneath years of adapting, shrinking, and carrying impossible weight.

Healing isn’t always soft light and deep breaths.
Sometimes it looks like unraveling in the middle of your own staircase and deciding to keep climbing anyway. 🖤

I’m honoured to now be a Medavie Blue Cross Approved Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) at Metchosin Wellness Collective, helping make mental health support more accessible for individuals, parents, families, and first responders.

My practice offers compassionate, trauma-informed support for those navigating:

• ADHD and neurodivergence
• Emotional overwhelm and burnout
• Parenting stress and family dynamics
• Trauma and nervous system dysregulation
• Life transitions, grief, separation, and identity shifts
• First responder mental health and compassion fatigue

I believe therapy should feel human, safe, and grounded in genuine connection. Whether you’re surviving a difficult season, carrying invisible stress, or simply feeling emotionally exhausted, you deserve support that sees the whole person, not just the struggle.

Services are available in-person at Metchosin Wellness Collective and virtually across British Columbia.

Direct billing available for many extended health plans through Medavie Blue Cross.

Healing happens in connection. Help is here. 🤍

Some nervous systems are thunderstorms in a world that rewards weather reports.

For many neurodivergent people, “I need space” is not rejection, manipulation, laziness, or attitude. It is regulation. It is survival. It is the brain trying to untangle 47 radio stations playing at once while everyone else keeps adding volume.

Some people process emotions out loud.
Some process them in silence.
Some need movement.
Some need isolation.
Some need hours before their thoughts stop ricocheting like pinballs in a glass machine.

And that is okay.

Not everyone understands what it feels like when emotions arrive without dimmer switches. When conversations become static. When overwhelm turns the body heavy, reactive, or completely shut down. Neurodivergent people are often told they are “too much” while simultaneously being expected to explain themselves perfectly during moments their nervous system is already overloaded. That’s a cruel little paradox.

Space can be healthy.
Quiet can be healthy.
Stepping away before melting down can be healthy.

Sometimes “leave me alone” actually means:

“I am trying very hard not to drown in this feeling.”
“I need to regulate before I can connect.”
“I care enough to pause instead of explode.”

The world often celebrates productivity over processing, but healing does not always look polished. Sometimes it looks like cancelled plans, dark rooms, headphones, tears in the car, unfinished texts, or needing an extra beat before re-entering the world.

If this is you: you are not failing at being human. Your nervous system just speaks a different dialect.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to pour love outward like an endless river while leaving ourselves standing on dry ground.

We check on everyone else.
We carry.
We comfort.
We forgive.
We stay gentle with people who have never learned how to be gentle with us.

But healing begins when your own name finally belongs on the list too.

You deserve rest without guilt.
Care without earning it.
Compassion on the hard days.
Patience while you grow.
Love that does not disappear when you are struggling.

The way you speak to yourself matters.
The way you care for yourself matters.
You matter.

I hope when you think of everyone you love… you include yourself.

❤️

Peace does not always arrive as light.
Sometimes, it settles in like a soft dusk gentle, steady, and a little bit heavy.

I look at my life, my work, my children, this thing I’ve built and feel the quiet truth of it:

This is good.
This is full.
This is enough.

And still, something lingers.

Not loud. Not urgent.
Just a subtle weight, like a memory without a name,
or a feeling that hasn’t quite found its words.

I am learning not to rush it away.
Not to tidy it up or turn it into a lesson too quickly.

Just to sit with it. To let gratitude and heaviness
share the same space in me, like two notes that don’t cancel each other out, but deepen the song.

This, too, is peace. 🤍
