The most underrated exercise? 👀

Because it trains your feet, core, arches, pelvic floor, posture AND balance.

And you don’t need a complicated workout to work on all of those things at once. In fact, the more playful, the better!

I’m using the Origo Board from Spacer Mobility here — it’s one of my favourite ways to challenge foot strength, stability and balance.

If your feet are relieved the second your running shoes come off…

It might not be because you need more cushioning.

Sometimes your toes are simply asking for more room.

That’s one of the reasons I’ll sometimes wear toe spacers inside my Altras. The wide toe box gives my toes space to splay naturally instead of being squeezed together.

It’s not the right solution for everyone, but if your toes go numb, feel cramped, or get rubbed raw on every run, it’s worth exploring.

🦶🏽 If you’re curious about toe spacers, I use the ones from Spacer Mobility—there’s a link in my bio if you want to check them out.

👇🏼 Question for the runners:

Do your feet feel better putting your shoes on… or taking them off?

POV: your feet are dreading their first steps out of the car. 🚗🦶🏽

(Please ignore my filthy camping feet…😂🏕️)

Before asking your feet to carry you around camp or out on the trails, give them some well deserved love.

👋🏼 Foot handshake
🦶🏽 Massage the top, bottom, and heel
💫 Gently mobilize the midfoot, rearfoot, and ankle

They’ve been stuck in one position for the drive. A little movement before you stand can help them feel a whole lot happier.

Happy trails! 🫶🏼🦶🏽

What if I told you your hiking boots might be holding you back? 🥾➡️🦶🏽

Over the years I’ve hiked:

🏔️ The Everest Three Passes Trek
🥾 Multi-day hikes through BC, New Zealand, Slovakia, and Albania
⛰️ A 40-day trek through the French Alps and around Mont Blanc (mostly in Earthrunners!)
🌲 And now… adventures with my kids.

Through all of that, one thing has stayed the same:

There isn’t one “perfect” shoe.

The best footwear depends on the terrain, the weather, your experience, and what your feet are in the mood for.

Stiff hiking boots have their place—but they’re not the only option. There are occasions where feet appreciate having more support. Other times, it simply limits what your feet can do.

Build strong, adaptable feet… then choose your footwear intentionally.

What’s your go-to hiking shoe? 👇🏽
