Calvin Black Counselling

Calvin Black Counselling I support individuals, couples, and youth in navigating life’s challenges — including stress, trauma, relationship issues, and recovery from injury or burnout.

My approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy and years of experience working with families. I help men work through anxiety, depression, and trauma so that they can move beyond their problems and clarify their next steps. I am an empathetic and positive listener and look forward to helping my clients flourish. I also offer pre-marital counselling and am a certified Strengthsfinder coach.

This is a great post by my colleague Joan Dosso that suggests what you might do in between counselling sessions to maximize your insight.

Between the Sessions. ✍️

Therapy doesn't end when the hour is up. The real work often happens in the quiet moments between sessions.

Try this journaling prompt from our blog: "If my emotion was a landscape, what would it look like right now?" Stormy seas? A quiet forest?

Journaling helps "spark true healing" by giving your thoughts a place to land.
