You do not have to walk in already knowing what is wrong to start chiropractic care. A first visit is built around assessment, not assumption, so we can find out together what your body is dealing with. If something has been bothering you but you cannot quite explain it, that is exactly the kind of thing worth bringing in.

Watch someone walk down a street and you can often guess a lot about them before they say a single word: tired, rushed, relaxed, in a hurry. What most people don’t realize is that the way we walk also reveals a great deal about what is happening in the spine, often well before any pain shows up.

New parents carry more weight than most expect. Between lifting a car seat, feeding in awkward positions, and bending over a crib dozens of times a day, the early months of parenting put repetitive strain on the low back and shoulders that most people do not plan for. That strain adds up quietly until it becomes pain. If you are in this stage, a checkup can help you catch it before it does.

The way you bend down for something on the floor matters more than how heavy it is. Rounding the low back while lifting concentrates pressure on a small area of the spine, while hinging at the hips and bending the knees spreads that load across stronger muscles. It is a small adjustment in form with a meaningful impact over years of repeated movement.

Dr Mark's adjustment do not involve twising, torquing or 'cracking'.

Drop table and instrument-assisted adjusting delivers a precise, low-force impulse to a joint, making it a good option for patients who prefer a gentler approach or have conditions that make traditional adjusting less suitable.

Myth or fact: cracking your knuckles causes arthritis. The sound actually comes from gas bubbles releasing inside the joint fluid, not from damage to the joint itself.

Answer: Generally a myth- it's harmless unless you have pain when doing it- which may indicate an underlying joint problem

A headache that starts at the base of the skull is not always coming from the head. Cervicogenic headaches originate in the joints and muscles of the upper neck, and the pain simply travels upward, which is why treating the head alone rarely resolves them. Addressing the neck directly often brings relief that other approaches miss.

You do not have to be in pain to start chiropractic care. Many patients wait until a flare-up forces the decision, but proactive care is built to catch small imbalances long before they turn into bigger problems. If it has been a while since anything hurt but longer since a checkup, that is still a good time to come in.

If a gap in care has left you feeling like you are back at square one, that is almost certainly not true. The changes that develop through chiropractic care are not simply erased when visits pause. What tends to happen is a gradual drift toward old patterns, and when care resumes, the body typically responds faster than it did at the start. Returning is not starting over.
