🔥 Day 2 at Squamish Nationals! 🔥

It has been a HOT weekend, with temperatures cusping into the 30s, but the racing has been even hotter!

This is my first time here in Squamish, and I have really enjoyed riding this track. The gate has thrown my usual snap off a bit since it is not quite as fast as I am used to, but I have been working hard to adjust and keep pushing.

Yesterday, I made my main in 11-12 Open and finished with a 3rd place! I also made my semi in 12 Expert, but wasn’t quite able to pull a top 4 to make the main.

Today, I made the main again in 11-12 Open and finished 4th. In 12 Expert, I made my semi and had a full-on drag race down the last straight with Brayden. It was so close they had to review the camera… and I GOT IT! I went on to finish 7th in my main.

Can someone experiencing cognitive decline continue to age in place at Cherish?

In many cases, the answer is yes — with the right supports in place.

Through our private care partners, residents may be able to access care up to 24 hours a day, allowing them to continue living safely and comfortably in the home they know and love. For someone experiencing cognitive decline, familiar surroundings, consistent routines, and compassionate support can make a meaningful difference.

Without the proper supports, there can be limitations to aging in place successfully. Cherish is not a locked memory care facility, and there may be times when a resident’s needs become greater than what can be safely supported here.

When that happens, our commitment does not end. Our team will work with residents and their families to help guide the next steps with care, compassion, and dignity.

At Cherish, our goal is always to help residents remain in their home for as long as it is safe and supportive to do so.
