What if we dropped the ‘no pain, no gain’ construct and leaned into cultivating ease and pleasure as a priority instead?
What if we press pause on the urgency, on the endless pursuit of certainty, and put ‘productivity’ on the back burner just for a moment?
This can be a difficult practice when we become so adapted to the non-stop nature of society. It can be challenging to tease apart what’s actually true for us vs what we think should be true for us.
What if we release the concept of perfection, of utopia, of an ideal way of being
And land in what truly is…moment to moment to moment and honour whatever arrives.
Building a life around this practice
Slowly shifting, slowing building, slowly cultivating a new way of relating to ourselves and the world.
As Adrienne Marie Brown says. ‘Small is all.’
allowing for the humble & simple moments to add up to a life scaffolded by ease, pleasure, integrity, appreciation & love.
As you pause and check-in, what would genuinely feel good at this moment?
Maybe it’s drinking a glass of water; perhaps it's taking a few moments to listen to your favourite song, eating some food, lying down and breathing, stretching your body, connecting with nature, crying, screaming, howling at the moon, laughing, sighing, appreciating the sunshine resting on your cheek, lying on the floor with your dog. It’s often simple, and it’s often ‘free’.
How can you invite a little more ease into your day? Not for any reason other than because it feels good.
