📢 We need 5 minutes of your time to support Bill C-224!
The House of Commons is proposing fixing the oppressive rules that subject herbal practitioners to pharmaceutical-style monitoring, expensive NPN's (Natural Product Numbers), and large fees meant to regulate massive corporations.
🌱 Bill C-224 is asking for a tiered system, one that regulates herbal remedies, vitamins and supplements seperately from pharmaceutical manufacturers. Herbal products will remain regulated by federal saftey laws tailored to the industry.
Current legislation means that local companies that previously made our herbal remedies have stopped due to high fees! Everyday tinctures, such as mullein and ashwagandha, could be harder to access without C-224.
The Bill is now before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health (HESA), and this is an important opportunity to tell federal decision-makers why a distinct, proportionate approach to natural health product regulation matters to you.
