Learn about ongoing food security initiatives, community garden and fishery programs, training and capacity-building efforts, partnerships with funding agencies, and inspiring success stories that highlight the positive impact of work Gitxaała Nation is doing.

Are you working in food sovereignty, community gardens, or traditional food systems?

Our community-led circle for those working in Indigenous food systems, food sovereignty, and food security across BC is a place for us to lean on one another. This is a chance to come together in a supportive community, troubleshoot challenges, and learn and grow together!

Whether you are looking for advice or have years of experience to share, we would love to have your voice in the room.

This is an opportunity for mentors to step up and for project leads to connect over shared challenges.

𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 — 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝! 🌿 I·SPARC is excited to welcome 12 participants from across B.C. to a 3-day, in-person leader training (April 14–16, 2026) on xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Territory in Richmond. This immersive experience blends physical activity leadership with Indigenous teachings, wellness, culture, and connection — supporting participants to grow confidence, build practical skills, and become community movement leaders.

📘Graduates will deliver an 8-week FitNation program in their community between May–July 2026 and receive a $1,000 grant to support implementation. Training includes hands-on fitness instruction, ceremony, medicine walks, drumming, Elder teachings, mentorship, and more. Applications close February 27, 2026 — learn more and apply today!
