I'm bringing hot stone massage back, because if June is going to pretend it's January, we might as well make the best of it.

When I moved to Vancouver Island seven years ago, I had never heard the term "June-uary".

Now I know exactly what it means: grey skies, cool mornings, and wondering why you're wearing a sweater in June.

This treatment helps improve circulation, mobility of the tissues, and overall function within the body. Each session is tailored to your individual needs using gentle, targeted techniques to support the body both during and between treatments.

Over the past few years, my practice has been gradually evolving toward Therapeutic Abdominal Massage.

The more I work with the abdomen, the more I feel how important this work truly is.

It’s an area of the body that holds and receives so much throughout our lives, yet often receives very little attention in massage therapy.

To better support this work, I’ve expanded my initial appointments into more focused 90 minute sessions, including support for digestive health, pelvic and menstrual health, fertility, post surgical recovery, and more.

I’m also now offering complimentary 15 minute Discovery Calls for those who are curious to learn more about this approach.

Craniosacral therapy invites the nervous system into a softer, more receptive state, supporting rest and regulation from the inside out. ✨

This work is about listening, through bones and membranes and tuning into subtle movements that flow move beneath conscious awareness. 🤲

In craniosacral therapy, we work with the movement of cerebrospinal fluid, which surrounds the brain and spinal cord, offering protection and nourishment to the nervous system. The gentle rhythm of this system is often referred to as the craniosacral pulse. 🧠

People often describe sessions as calming, spacious, or deeply settling, like rest reaching the cellular level. Sustained, gentle holds create space for the nervous system to unwind and for the body to make quiet, self directed adjustments. ✨

If you are seeking deep rest or support that works directly with the nervous system, craniosacral therapy can be a helpful entry point. For first appointments, I often suggest blending it with massage so your body can orient to the sensation before exploring a full session. 🌱

This care supports healing by bringing attention to the belly, the tissues around the scar, and areas that often hold strain after birth. 🌸

With focused training in manual scar tissue release and postnatal abdominal work, I offer a place to slow down, breathe, and let your body settle at a pace that feels right for you. Cesarean massage is gentle, respectful, and guided by your comfort. The session moves with your tissues and unfolds slowly. There is room for the nervous system to soften and for the belly to be met with presence and care.🤲🏻

I thought I’d pop in to reintroduce myself and give this page some fresh energy. 💫

I’m Melissa Stewart, Registered Massage Therapist. I’ve recently moved my practice back into the cozy, beautiful clinic at Nurture & Flo!

My treatments are designed to support your body’s natural healing while bringing more ease and spaciousness into your being. Sessions focus on calming the nervous system, releasing tension, and creating a deep sense of balance and restoration.

I offer a few different treatment styles and modalities:
