Higginbotham is a well-known name in Virden, having had several generations of family pharmacists practicing in the town going all the way back to 1888. In May 1983, Super Thrifty bought Higginbotham’s Drug Store, and in October 1990, the store moved to its present location.

It's hard to believe the day has come to say goodbye to Myrna Bisson !

Starting in April of 2009, that's 17 incredible years with Virden Super Thrifty! Beyond her impressive work on giftware, baby clothing/accessories, childrens books and puzzles, we will miss Myrnas positive attitude, problem-solving, superior customer service and the way she always supported the team ! We are all very positive she will continue to keep busy with gardening, volunteering her time to the virden food cupboard and community events !

Thank you for being such an amazing colleague and friend! Enjoy every minute of your well deserved retirement!🥳
