Week 1 - “Where It All Began”
Did you know Brown’s Pharmacy has been part of Walkerton for nearly 80 years?
Back in 1947, Bill and Virginia Brown purchased the former Nyal Drugs and began what would become one of Walkerton’s longest-standing family businesses. Bill and Virginia managed this progressive merchandising operation and were active and outgoing members of the community, all while raising six children.
For generations, Brown’s has been more than a pharmacy - it’s been a place of community, conversation, and care.
As we count down to Walkerton Homecoming 2026, we’re celebrating this local business that has helped shape our town’s story. ❤️
