Born in Windsor and raised in Wallaceburg, Steve has called Oaks home since 2019. Before retirement, he spent many years working as a Developmental Service Worker Born in Windsor and raised in Wallaceburg, Steve has called Oaks home since 2019. Before retirement, he spent many years working as a Developmental Service Worker in Blenheim.

One of Steveโ€™s fondest childhood memories is receiving his first tricycle at age five - a moment he remembers for the freedom and independence it gave him. That same sense of enjoyment and self-expression can still be found in one of his favourite pastimes: painting.

Steve began with abstract pieces and now especially enjoys painting flowers in acrylic, with landscapes next on his creative list. He describes painting as therapeutic and relaxing, and prefers to pick up a brush whenever inspiration strikes. His work has even caught the eye of fellow residents, some of whom have purchased his paintings.

A lover of all things creative, Steve is also a regular at our arts and crafts sessions. When he isnโ€™t creating, you might find him watching painting tutorials on YouTube or enjoying a game of pool.

Steveโ€™s story is just one of the many that make life at Oaks so special. Come experience our community for yourself and see what makes it feel like home.
