LUGHNASADH/LAMMAS, 1 AUGUST
It is time to apprieciate the fruits of our labors. We also honor what we have created, nurtured and protected. It is also about the potential loss that we have worked so hard for and could be lost in a instant. This is a way to go about protecting ourselves and being prepared, so we hide the seeds, herbs, vegetables, flowers, ideas, hopes, dreams, and desires for healing to handle the dark times. This makes us strong and resilient for what is to come.
It is a gift of maturity and is a time for physical harvest and spiritual gathering and is when certain steadiness and responsibility have been established. This is also a good time to celebrate the lives of all who have helped stabilize and who have excercised good judgment and who have helped steer the doubtful into a safe harbor of certainty.
A time of celebration of the first harvest!!!

Not every spirit in the Scottish woods wished you harm. One of them, the gentlest of all, spent his nights watching over lost and frightened children. 🌿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

He was called the Ghillie Dhu, the dark haired lad, and he lived in the birch woods around Gairloch in Wester Ross. Where other creatures of Highland folklore were terrifying, the Ghillie Dhu was shy and kind. He clothed himself in moss and green leaves, so that he seemed almost part of the forest itself, and he kept away from grown men. But to a child who had wandered too far and lost the path as the light failed, he was said to appear quietly, and lead them safely home to their door.

The old stories tell of one little girl who became lost in his wood at nightfall. Instead of the fear the Highlands taught you to feel in the dark, she met only gentleness. The Ghillie Dhu guided her out, asking nothing, and vanished back among the trees. In a landscape full of kelpies and death omens, here was a piece of magic that simply wanted to help.

There is something tender in the fact that our ancestors, who lived hard lives in a hard place, imagined a guardian like this. They knew how easily a child could be lost to the hills, the bog, the cold. And so they told of a spirit clothed in leaves who would carry the smallest and weakest of them safely home.

The birch woods of Gairloch still whisper in the wind. Perhaps he is still in there somewhere, watching, waiting for the next lost child to need him.

The old people were not only afraid of the dark. Sometimes they filled it with kindness. 🍄

The Aquarian energy is technological and visionary. Its vision of peace, freedom, and the united brotherhood of mankind. The sign is rebellious and replaces it with new thinking. Aquarian mantra is about change and wants to change the rest of the world, but never itself, but encourages our global perspective. Aquarius energy is good at telling everyone else how to transform, but are completely unwilling to accept any advice for themselves. Aquarius energy allows you to be single-minded and not to be afraid to be different. It's time to be willing to have a free spirit and explore your vision and work your energy, and accept any visions spirit has to offer you. Aquarius challenge is to stay in touch with your feelings and see intimate beloveds as clearly as you see the bigger picture❤
