We ask for everyone's cooperation, support, and understanding during this time.
What is Tuberculosis (TB)?
Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that can spread through the air when a person with TB in their lungs or throat coughs, speaks, sings, or sneezes. Tiny droplets containing TB bacteria can be inhaled by people nearby.
Important Facts About TB

• People with TB are most likely to spread the disease to individuals with whom they spend significant time indoors.
• TB does not spread through:
◦ Shaking hands
◦ Sharing food or drinks
◦ Touching bed linens
◦ Using toilet seats

If you have been prescribed medication for TB or latent ("sleeping") TB:
• Take your medication every day as prescribed.

Supporting Others
Do you know someone who has been diagnosed with TB or who needs to isolate?
• Offer help and support when possible.
