No one can truly prepare you for motherhood.
You can read the books, make the birth plan, organize the nursery, and imagine what life will look like—but so much of this journey can’t be predicted. You don’t know how your birth will unfold, what your baby will be like, or how becoming a parent will change you until you’ve arrived.
Motherhood often asks us to let go of certainty and trust the process. For some, that deepens their faith. For others, it means leaning on loved ones, community, or simply taking one day at a time.
The motherhood community can be both beautiful and complicated. Alongside love and support can come comparison, judgment, and the pressure to do it “right.” Is my baby developing fast enough? Am I doing enough? Why does everyone else seem to have it figured out?
These questions can become a constant soundtrack in your mind. And somewhere in the middle of caring for your baby, you may find yourself wondering, Who am I now?
Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to have all the answers. A place to process the overwhelm, the identity shifts, the fears, the grief, the joy, and everything in between—without judgment.
Motherhood isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about finding support while you figure it out.
🤍 Currently on maternity leave and looking forward to supporting new clients in 2027.
