Thanksgiving can feel different when someone you love is missing.

The traditions may be familiar, but the moments can feel changed.

Grief does not follow a calendar, and healing does not require you to move on from the person you miss.

This year, give yourself permission to:
🌿 Make space for the grief
🌿 Remember and honour that special person
🌿 Create new traditions—or keep familiar ones
🌿 Receive support
🌿 Let gratitude and sorrow coexist

There is room at the table for both love and loss.

This Thanksgiving, take a moment to notice what’s good.

Gratitude doesn’t mean everything in life is easy or that we overlook what’s difficult. It simply invites us to pause and notice the people, moments and small things that bring goodness into our lives.

Try keeping a gratitude list this week. Each day, write down 3 things you’re thankful for—big or small.

A warm cup of coffee.
A meaningful conversation.
A child’s laughter.
A friend who showed up.
A quiet moment of peace.

When we intentionally record what we’re grateful for, we create space to notice the good that can so easily get lost in the busyness of life.

This Thanksgiving, Pause. Notice. Give thanks. 🤎

Sometimes our behaviour is a reflection of wounds we haven’t yet had the opportunity to understand.

The anger.
The withdrawal.
The need for control.
The difficulty trusting.

Understanding where our patterns come from can create space for something different.

Awareness is not blame.

Healing is not about perfection.

It is about learning to respond with greater understanding, compassion and choice.

Therapy can help you explore what lies beneath the surface and offer a place to pursue healing.

We are here when you are ready.

You may feel overwhelmed, ashamed, afraid, or unsure where to begin. You may wonder how things got this far—or whether change is even possible.

Start with honesty.

Acknowledge what is happening without using shame to define who you are. Addiction is not a sign that you are beyond help. It is a serious concern that deserves understanding, support and appropriate care.

Then, take one step:
🌿 Talk to someone you trust.
🌿 Reach out to a counsellor, physician, or addiction professional.
🌿 Identify the people, places, emotions, or situations that contribute to the pattern.
🌿 Consider what support and treatment may be needed.
🌿 Focus on the next right step—not having everything figured out at once.
Recovery rarely begins with certainty. Often, it begins with a willingness to stop hiding and start receiving help.

You do not have to navigate this alone. Support is available, and change is possible.

Awareness is the beginning. Reaching out is a courageous next step.

Hot flashes. Brain fog. A shorter fuse.

And suddenly, your partner’s chewing feels like a personal attack.
Beneath the humour and “I’m fine” responses, menopause can bring real emotional and relational challenges.

You may feel:
-More anxious or irritable
-Overwhelmed by changes
-Disconnected from your partner
-Uneasy in your own skin

You are not failing. You are navigating change.

Therapy can help you understand what’s changing, reconnect with yourself and find support through the emotional and relational challenges of menopause.
You are navigating a significant season of change—and you deserve support through it.

What if you could come to therapy before you’re exhausted, overwhelmed and running on empty?

Daytime appointments give you space to step away from the demands of work, parenting and daily life—and focus on what you need.

Come to therapy with more energy. Leave with more clarity.

-Daytime appointments available
-Men, Women, Couples & Family Therapy
-In-person & online options

Your mental health deserves more than whatever time is left in your day.
Book a daytime appointment and make space for yourself.

Many employers offer work schedule flexibility for medical and health appointments. Consider your options when you book.

Sometimes we are so focused on finding an answer that we miss what is already being offered:

A moment of beauty,
A quiet reminder,
A breath,
A little more light.

One sign of healing is the ability to slow down, notice and become curious about what is happening around us, within us.

Pause. Notice. Listen.

Not every meaningful conversation uses words.

Pregnancy loss is more common than many people realize, impacting almost 25% of the population in Canada.

Yet the grief that follows can feel incredibly isolating.

Because behind every statistic is a person.
A family.
A story.
A baby who was loved.

The experience of loss is unique to each person. There is no single way to grieve, and no timeline for healing.

Your grief matters. Your story matters. Your baby matters.

This October, we make space for remembrance, compassion and support.

Neuroscience reminds us that what we intentionally attend to can shape our thoughts and influence our emotional responses.

Faith reminds us that Scripture is more than something we think about.
It is truth we can rest in.
Let it shape your thoughts.
Let it steady your heart.
Let it guide your next step.

You can rest in the assurance of God’s faithfulness.
