Residents worked hard this morning packing supplies into school kits for the 'MCC School Kit' initiative. 📗✏️

With the help of the Kindness Committee & our whole Parkwood Community, we were able to pack up 38 kits & donate lots of extra supplies on top of that!

Thank you so much to everyone who generously donated to this wonderful cause by bringing in school items or giving cash to buy extra supplies!

For more information on this cause, you can visit: https://mcc.org/get-involved/kits/school

Yesterday we had a great campus-wide social with some of our local firefighters! 🧑‍🚒

They played games, chatted, served ice cream and gave tours of their truck!

Thanks so much to the Waterloo Fire Department for coming to hangout with us for the afternoon, we had lots of fun!

Last Friday, Parkwood had our very own 'Bean Auction' for our Retirement Suites & Martin Apartments. No money was required, but each resident was given 30 beans to spend however they liked.

There was lots of laughter and many interesting items like mugs, plants, food, furniture and even a TV!

Our auctioneer (summer student Easton) did an amazing job and kept the crowd entertained the whole afternoon!

Such a fun time!

LTC residents have been busy with lots of fun events these past few weeks! Learning new skills like resin coaster making and origami, helping out with dinner by husking corn and cuddling with our new bunny friends, 'Ash' & 'Willow'. 🐰🌽

Last week we had a full house at our Strawberry Social! Our Campus Choir treated us with a few songs before we enjoyed dessert with fresh strawberries from Herrle's Country Farm Market. Thanks to all who supported this fundraiser as we kicked off our Kindness Fountain Program where we will grant the wishes of our residents and tenants.
