Last Friday, Parkwood had our very own 'Bean Auction' for our Retirement Suites & Martin Apartments. No money was required, but each resident was given 30 beans to spend however they liked.

There was lots of laughter and many interesting items like mugs, plants, food, furniture and even a TV!

Our auctioneer (summer student Easton) did an amazing job and kept the crowd entertained the whole afternoon!

Such a fun time!

LTC residents have been busy with lots of fun events these past few weeks! Learning new skills like resin coaster making and origami, helping out with dinner by husking corn and cuddling with our new bunny friends, 'Ash' & 'Willow'. 🐰🌽

LTC had lots of fun meeting and petting the donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary yesterday afternoon! Lots of big smiles and warm hearts from this unique pet therapy!

Last week we had a full house at our Strawberry Social! Our Campus Choir treated us with a few songs before we enjoyed dessert with fresh strawberries from Herrle's Country Farm Market. Thanks to all who supported this fundraiser as we kicked off our Kindness Fountain Program where we will grant the wishes of our residents and tenants.

Today we celebrated the men in our lives with our Father's Day BBQ! We ate lots of great food, tested our knowledge with some Blue Jays trivia & ended it with the Blue Jays Game⚾️ (and of course we had to include some Dad jokes too). It was a wonderful afternoon!

Wedding Week was a great success here at Parkwood! We displayed resident & staff wedding dresses & pictures ranging from 1949 to 2025! We also had lots of wedding-themed events like cake tasting, reminiscence programs, and lots of marriage advice! 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️

Thanks so much to everyone who contributed their photo or dress; it really is amazing to see the uniqueness of each special day.

We were so thankful today to have a wonderful group of volunteers from Creekside Church here to lead us in making beautiful summer wreaths! 🌸🌼

The residents loved getting creative and chatting with the team while doing so!

A couple weeks ago we celebrated Smile Cookie Day as a small way to give back to the community as well as recognize the hard work of our staff. 😊🍪
