We are so grateful for the continued support of the businesses and organizations who step up, cheer us on, and contribute both financially and in kind to make Hike for Hospice possible.

💜 What a day. What a community. What an incredible Hike for Hospice! 💜

Our 14th Annual Hike for Hospice brought families, friends, supporters — and even a few furry friends — together for a day filled with remembrance, celebration and connection.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised more than $120,000 gross! 🎉

Every dollar raised helps Hospice Waterloo Region continue to provide compassionate care, support and connection to people and families when they need it most.

To our hikers, donors, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who cheered us on — thank you. Your support made this special day possible, and we are so grateful. 💜

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A day when we at Hospice Waterloo Region remember and honour all of the children, families and communities impacted by residential schools.

Reconciliation calls each of us to learn, unlearn, listen, respect and build supportive relationships that honour every person's experience.

We are grateful for every opportunity, and commit to creating a community where everyone receives wholistic care during the transitions of life, death, and bereavement.

We are so proud and honoured to share that we have partnered with the Grand River Conservation Authority and Grand River Conservation Foundation to install a Wind Phone at the Dumfries Conservation Area. The Wind Phone offers people experiencing grief or loss a place to pause, express their thoughts and feelings and speak to someone they have lost, allowing their words to be carried on the wind. Originating in Japan, Wind Phones have been established in communities around the world.

A huge thank you to the 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame and the K-W Daytimers for your generous donation of $1,000!

80+ Hockey Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit organization which nationally recognizes active recreational hockey players 80 years of age and over.

The 19th induction into the Hall was held in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario on March 28, 2026. Thank you to the 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame and the K-W Daytimers for your support!
