We all deserve something. ❤️

Sometimes, it's the simplest things that make the biggest difference.

A bottle of water on a hot day. A granola bar. Sunscreen. A warm blanket or sleeping bag for the colder months.

Our Niagara Assertive Street Outreach (NASO) team meets people where they are, building trust and providing practical support to some of our community's most vulnerable neighbours. Right now, we're looking for donations of essential summer and winter items to help ensure no one goes without.

If you're able to help, we'd be so grateful.

Today, we're proud to introduce the next chapter in that journey.

While our name has changed, our purpose has not.

It was a pleasure to welcome Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch for a discussion about two exciting initiatives that will help shape the future of our organization and strengthen services across our community.

We shared details about our new supportive housing project in Welland, which is set to begin construction this summer. The development will provide 24 one-bedroom units, creating safe, stable, and supportive homes for individuals who need housing combined with supports. This project represents an important step forward in addressing housing needs in our community and helping people achieve greater stability and independence.

We also discussed the upcoming amalgamation of Mainstream and Gateway, a transformative initiative that will strengthen our ability to serve individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, housing instability and complex support needs. By bringing our organizations together, we are creating new opportunities to enhance service delivery, increase collaboration, and improve outcomes for the people and families we support.
