How many times have you told yourself…
“I’ll just start again Monday.”
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
YUP! I’ve been there… over and over again.
Because I thought consistency meant following my fitness routine PERFECTLY (where my type a girlies at 🥲). If I missed a workout or went off my meal plan, I automatically felt like I had failed. The rest of the week was a right off, so I figured I may as well start over again on Monday.
But I can confidently say I have shifted away from that mindset, and it’s because I stopped striving for one perfect routine and started building two.
1️⃣ the IDEAL week (for when life feels manageable) and
2️⃣ the ✨ MINIMUM ✨ week (for when life feels busy)
This simple shift completely changed the way I approached my movement (and nutrition too!).
Instead of chasing perfection, I started building a sustainable fitness routine that could adapt to REAL life.
Some weeks look like strength training, pilates, running, and daily walks.
Other weeks, it looks like shortening a strength workout, skipping a run and swapping pilates for a long walk on the weekend.
Both count.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in that same cycle of starting over, I wrote an article sharing 5 simple mindset shifts that helped me build a fitness routine I actually enjoy coming back to.

You don’t need a perfect week.
You just need a plan for the imperfect ones.
