Miscouche Fire Department Receives New Fire Truck to Enhance Emergency Response
Miscouche, Prince Edward Island β May 1, 2026 β The Miscouche Fire Department is proud to announce the arrival of a new fire truck to its fleet today, enhancing its capacity to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies within the community and surrounding areas.
The new truck replaces a 1996 model that has faithfully served the department for over three decades. This upgrade represents a significant investment in public safety, ensuring firefighters are equipped with modern tools and technology to better protect residents, property, and infrastructure. While ensuring our firefighters are as safe as possible.
βThis new truck is a huge step forward for our department,β said Jason Woodbury, Fire Chief of the Miscouche Fire Department. βIt ensures our team has the reliable, up-to-date equipment needed to protect our residents and respond safely and efficiently.β
The purchase was made possible by the support of the Municipality of Miscouche, the residents and the dedication of a committed committee whose vision and hard work brought the project to completion.
The truck will be on display for the public tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Community members are invited to stop by and take a look. Firefighters will train on the truck on Sunday, and it is expected to be placed into service later that day.
