At the heart of this work, is the teaching on the Medicine Basket of Harm Reduction; a way of understanding harm reduction as a respectful gathering of medicines and practices that support relatives who use substances on their healing journeys.

🛟I∙SPARC is pleased to present the 2026 Provincial Lifeguarding Leadership Camp, hosted in partnership with the Aboriginal Youth F.I.R.S.T. Program (Futures in Recreation & Sport Training).

💧This weeklong camp is open to self-identified Indigenous youth (First Nation, Métis, & Inuit) of all ages and will introduce the sport of Lifesaving & Lifeguarding for both beginners and advanced athletes. The camp will be delivered by certified Lifesaving Society and PADI instructors

-Lifesaving Stream: 13 years old by course start date & basic swimming ability
-Lifeguarding Stream: 15 years old by course start date & Bronze Cross certification

FNHA’s Climate Health Action Program (CHAP) is now accepting expressions of interest (EOIs) for projects beginning spring 2027!

CHAP supports community-driven projects that strengthen the resilience of First Nations communities to the health impacts of climate change. EOIs will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the available funding has been allocated. Successful EOIs will be invited to develop full proposals.
