Here are some tips and preventative solutions to help keep you safe. If you have been bitten by a tick you can book an appointment with the pharmacist to go over whether you should receive the dose of antibiotics. You can book your same day appointment at https://westportvillagepharmacy.myappts.ca

WALK-INS will only be permitted if we have time, otherwise you will be asked to come back at a later time. As you can imagine we have been inundated with appointments and would appreciate your patience.

Spring COVID Boosters are now available until end of June. Eligible individuals include the following:
• 80 years and older SHOULD receive an additional dose while those 65 to 79 years of age MAY receive an additional dose.
• Adult residents of long-term care homes and other congregate living settings for seniors.
• Individuals 6 months of age and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised.
• Individuals 55 years and older who identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Metis and their non-Indigenous household members.

For those interested in the RSV vaccine...FYI

RSV vaccine for those 75 years and older

· Pharmacies are not authorized to provide the RSV vaccine for the 2025-26 season.

· Please go to your usual health care provider to receive this vaccine

o If you have already paid for and received a dose of RSV vaccine in the past, you do not need to receive it again.

o If you do not have a health care provider, the Health Unit is offering small community clinics this fall for RSV vaccine only – NO COVID and no Influenza vaccines provided. Please visit the Health Unit website to book an appointment.
