Some patients become part of the story of your career and Isabel is definitely one of them.
I first started treating Isabel in November 2018, when she was a young athlete dealing with scoliosis and working hard to pursue her passion for baton twirling.
If you look back at some of these photos, you’ll even see the green cinderblock walls from the earliest days of Rx Physio Health, when the clinic was still operating out of a CrossFit gym.
A lot has changed since then.
Over nearly eight years, I’ve had the privilege of watching Isabel grow from a young girl into an incredible athlete achieving some cool things! Through all of it, she has consistently put in the work, not only with her rehab with myself and Danae, but in the countless hours she has dedicated to becoming the athlete she is today.
And that work has paid off.

🎓 And now, Isabel is heading to the United States on a scholarship to the University at Buffalo, where she will be their featured twirler.
Today was our final treatment session before she begins this next chapter, and it was definitely a bittersweet one.
As a physiotherapist, you spend so much time focused on the next assessment, the next treatment, and the next goal that you don’t always stop to appreciate how long you’ve been part of someone’s journey.
Looking back at those early photos and then seeing where Isabel is today puts it into perspective. Isabel, we are incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished. More importantly, we’re proud of the dedication, resilience, and consistency you’ve shown along the way.
Thank you to you and your family for trusting myself, Danae, and Rx Physio Health with your care for all these years. It has been an absolute privilege to play even a small role in your journey. Congratulations, Isabel. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. 🇨🇦
