We did it💚 Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, we have officially surpassed our $5 million goal for Healing Starts Here: A Campaign for a New Production Kitchen at Peace Arch Hospital🎉

Construction is now approximately 75% complete, with equipment installation underway and the first patient meal from the new kitchen expected to be served in early 2027.

“Surpassing our $5 million goal is an incredible milestone, and we are deeply grateful to every donor who believed in this vision and helped make it possible. Together, we are creating a new approach to food at Peace Arch Hospital, one that brings nourishment, comfort, choice and healing to the patient experience,” says Stephanie Beck, CEO of PAHCHF.

And thanks to the incredible generosity that took us beyond our original goal, we’re dreaming even bigger! We’re exploring opportunities for fresh garden spaces or a potential outdoor dining space for staff, patients and guests, creating new ways to connect food, community, wellness and healing. Stay tuned!

Happy 72nd Birthday, Peace Arch Hospital🎉

Since opening its doors in 1954, Peace Arch Hospital has been an important part of our community, caring for generations of families across White Rock and South Surrey.

Its story began with the dedication of the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary and the generosity of Amy Weatherby, whose 5.5-acre land donation helped make our hospital possible.

One week left to submit your LOI! ⏰ The deadline to submit a Letter of Intent for our upcoming Healthy Community Grants intake period is August 7, 2026 at 4:30pm.

Our Healthy Community Grants program assists us in creating the healthiest community possible by offering financial support to viable projects, programs, and initiatives that enhance the health and wellness for those living in the White Rock and South Surrey area.

Organizations interested in submitting a Letter of Intent for our next intake period must do so before the August deadline.

Linda Wei and Bruce Buchanan have made an extraordinary donation of $5 million towards the renovation and modernization of Peace Arch Hospital’s ICU and Cardiac Monitoring Unit❤️ This gift supports our Foundation’s $35 million Every Second Counts campaign, which is fundraising for a state-of-the-art, integrated ICU and Cardiac Monitoring Unit that will meet the evolving needs of patients, families, medical teams, and our broader community.

“No family should have to travel farther than necessary to receive life-saving care. We believe our community deserves exceptional healthcare close to home, and we're honoured to help make that possible. We've always believed that when you're in a position to help, you should. We wanted to contribute to this project today, so others can benefit tomorrow,” Linda says.
