🌫️ Is the poor air quality making your eyes feel irritated? You’re not imagining it.

With the smoky conditions and reduced air quality we’re experiencing in the Windsor-Essex area, many people are noticing:
👁️ Burning or stinging eyes
👁️ Redness
👁️ Excessive watering
👁️ Dry, gritty, or irritated eyes
👁️ Increased contact lens discomfort

When smoke and fine particles are in the air, they can disrupt your tear film and irritate the delicate surface of your eyes—especially if you already suffer from dry eye, allergies, or wear contact lenses.

✨ The good news? There are ways to help protect and soothe your eyes.

At MB Optometry, we often recommend:
💙 Thealoz Duo – preservative-free lubricating eye drops that hydrate, protect, and help restore the surface of the eye.
💙 Zaspray – an eyelid and eyelash cleansing spray that helps remove environmental irritants while supporting healthy eyelids and a more stable tear film.

A few additional tips during poor air quality days:
✔️ Keep windows closed when possible.
✔️ Wear sunglasses outdoors to reduce particle exposure.
✔️ Stay well hydrated.
✔️ Avoid rubbing your eyes.
✔️ Use preservative-free artificial tears throughout the day.
