If you've found yourself tossing and turning because your hips ache, you're definitely not alone.

As your pregnancy progresses, your body releases hormones that help prepare for birth by loosening your ligaments. Combined with changes in posture and the extra weight you're carrying, this can place more stress on your hips and pelvis.

Prenatal massage can't stop these changes from happening—but it may help reduce muscle tension, improve comfort, and make it easier to rest.

You don't have to "just deal with it."

MYTH or FACT?

❌ "You can't have a prenatal massage during your first trimester."

This is one of the most common questions I receive.

The truth is that current evidence doesn't support avoiding massage simply because you're in the first trimester. Whether massage is appropriate depends on your individual pregnancy and health history—not just how many weeks along you are.

Every treatment begins with a discussion about how you're feeling, your medical history, and any recommendations from your healthcare provider if needed.

Every pregnancy is unique, and your care should be too.

Braxton Hicks can catch you off guard.

Those practice contractions can feel tight, uncomfortable, and sometimes a little unsettling — especially if you’re already dealing with back, hip, or pelvic tension.

While massage does not stop contractions, prenatal massage may help support your body by:
• Reducing surrounding muscle tension
• Encouraging relaxation
• Helping you feel more comfortable overall

Sometimes the goal isn’t to “fix” every pregnancy symptom.

Sometimes it’s about helping your body feel less overwhelmed while it does a very big job 💚
