Alert from Windsor Regional Hospital

Emergency Department Volumes At High Capacity; Public Asked to Consider ED Alternatives

Windsor Regional Hospital is seeing higher than normal Emergency Department volumes at this time.

We kindly remind our community that our Emergency Departments are here for urgent and emergency care needs. Critically ill patients are the priority. Patients attending the Emergency Department at WRH for non-emergency issues could experience much longer wait times than usual.

Both EDs at WRH are experiencing higher patient volumes. If your condition is not life-threatening, please check each organization’s Emergency Department Wait Time Clocks before deciding which campus to visit. The clocks provide estimated physician wait times and current patient volumes. Please remember these are averages only, and patients with the most urgent needs are always seen first.

In an emergency, always call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

Alternatives to Hospital Emergency Departments:

It should also be noted, the public has an important role to play in helping to reduce hospital and ambulance wait times. For non-emergency situations, the public can phone 811, go to a walk-in clinic or make an appointment with their family doctor. 🚨 URGENT CALL FOR WATER BOTTLES 🚨
As warmer days arrive, one thing becomes absolutely essential for our guests: WATER 💧☀️
The Downtown Mission's Shelter is currently running low and in urgent need of bottled water to help keep people safe, hydrated, and healthy.
Approximately 150 - 200 individuals are stopping by the Mission during the day currently for a meal or to seek out various supports/programming and approximately 110 - 120 are in our Shelter Beds or Drop-In Shelter each night.
When it’s hot outside, shade, rest, and water can make all the difference.

History: Made. 🇨🇦⚽️

As a chiropractor, I think about physical performance, biomechanics, and the sheer grit it takes to play sports professionally.

On a complete whim, we got tickets to Friday’s match at Toronto Stadium (aka BMO Field) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Standing in this crowd, feeling the stadium shake, the energy was absolutely unreal. 🙌🏼

It was great to connect with colleagues, Drs. Anjelica and Jordan.

We watched Canada take on Bosnia in the first-EVER Men’s World Cup match on Canadian soil.

Even though it ended in a 1-1 draw, that single point marks the first point Canada has ever earned in men's FIFA World Cup history.

We fought, we made history, and I'm so grateful to have been there to witness it. Let’s go, Les Rouges! 🍁🔥
