For 2SGBTQ+? people, coming out doesn’t come with instructions.

No roadmap. No trusted adult pulling you aside to explain s*x, relationships, health, or how to find your place in the world. That’s why the *xualhealthalliance developed the closest thing to an official guide for guys who have s*x with guys.

Alongside the re-freshed GMSH.ca website, the campaign shares real stories from community members about the things they wish someone had told them earlier, from HIV prevention and testing, to body image, loneliness, belonging, and finding support without judgment.

Because people deserve more than fear, shame, and misinformation. They deserve honest, affirming, evidence-based information grounded in lived experience.

So if no one ever told you, we will (with love) 💜

December 17th is International Day to End Violence Against S*x Workers. We recognize the ongoing violence, stigma, and discrimination inflicted on s*x workers that can increase their health risks and limit their access to HIV prevention and care, safer s*x resources, and other health services. We also recognize the harmful impacts that punitive policies have on s*x workers which create barriers to accessing legal protections, healthcare, and other support services, and create vulnerability by limiting s*x workers’ options to report violence.

WHAI demands policies that decriminalize s*x work, ensures safer working conditions, and promotes access to healthcare. We encourage you to increase your knowledge of the harms that s*x work policies commit under the guise of protection, such as criminalizing the ability of s*x workers to hire protection or screen clients. We also encourage you to check out and support s*x work organizations such as and

“Being informed, aware and knowledgeable of resources, options and my own strength and skills, empowers me and makes me feel strong.”

Today on Human Rights Day, we stand up for women and gender-diverse people’s right of access to information, resources, and knowledge that support their agency and well-being. We encourage the sharing of information related to HIV testing, prevention, care and support that help women and gender diverse people take control of their health, especially for those experiencing gender-based violence, intimate partner violence, and other social and structural barriers that present harm.
