This Migraine Awareness Month, we’re helping shine a light on migraine as a serious neurological disease that affects millions of Canadians. By increasing understanding and reducing stigma, we can help those living with migraine feel seen, supported, and empowered.
While migraine triggers vary from person to person, common triggers can include stress, poor sleep, dehydration, hormonal changes, certain foods, and neck tension.
Chiropractors are trained to assess the spine, muscles, and nervous system to help identify factors that may be contributing to headache pain, rule out serious concerns, recommend appropriate treatment options, or refer when necessary. For some people, chiropractic care may play a role in managing migraine and recurrent headaches as part of a broader care plan.
