With the growing demand for autism assessments, we wanted to provide a clearer look at what the assessment process involves and what you can expect along the way.

At Lakeshore Psychology & Assessment, we aim to make each step feel clear, supportive, and individualized. Our comprehensive autism assessments generally include an intake meeting, standardized assessment activities, a developmental interview, a feedback appointment, and a detailed written report with personalized recommendations.

We assess children, adolescents, and adults. Although the adult assessment process may look slightly different, it follows a similar overall structure.

We are currently booking autism assessments for September!

Psychological assessments can feel like a big process. Our goal is to make it feel clear, supportive, and tailored to you and your family.

Here’s what to know:

• The process begins by booking an initial intake appointment

• During this first appointment, we’ll talk through concerns, timelines, assessment fees, and a soft plan moving forward

• The overall timeline can vary depending on complexity and information needed. Some assessments are completed in ~3 week, while others may take 8+ weeks

• For child assessments, parents attend the initial intake and the final feedback appointment. Parents do not attend testing sessions; these are completed one-on-one with the psychologist

I’m excited to share the launch of Lakeshore Psychology & Assessment, a practice offering comprehensive psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults in the Windsor–Essex community. ✨

At Lakeshore Psychology & Assessment, I focus on assessments related to ADHD, autism, learning/cognitive profiles, giftedness, and mental health.

Through my training in pediatric psychological assessment and my clinical work in Toronto and Calgary, I’ve learned that the diagnostic process is about far more than labels. A thoughtful, collaborative assessment can provide clarity, guide school and workplace supports, and help families move forward with confidence.

No two assessments are alike. Every child, teen, adult, and family comes with unique questions, strengths, and needs, and the assessment process should reflect that.

I take a warm, transparent, and collaborative approach, prioritizing rapport and connection so clients (especially children) feel comfortable, supported, and understood throughout the process.

I’m very excited to begin this next chapter and to support a meaningful need within the Windsor–Essex community.
