June is Stroke Awareness Month

The Windsor Family Health Team is proud to support Stroke Awareness Month alongside our partners at the Stroke Network of Southwestern Ontario.

A stroke is a medical emergency. Recognizing the signs and acting quickly can save a life and improve recovery.

Know the signs of stroke FAST:
🔹 Face – Is the face drooping?
🔹 Arms – Can both arms be raised?
🔹 Speech – Is speech slurred or difficult to understand?
🔹 Time – Call 911 immediately.

Other symptoms can include sudden:
• Loss of vision
• Severe headache
• Dizziness or loss of balance
• Numbness or weakness on one side of the body

Every minute matters. Getting medical attention as quickly as possible can make a significant difference in treatment and recovery.

This Stroke Awareness Month, take a few moments to learn the signs, share them with family and friends, and help spread awareness throughout our community.
